Imagine + New Mood Board Challenge

Hi, everyone! Today I'm sharing a card I created using Raisin Boat's Imagine Stamp set, inspiration courteous of the new SumMore Fun mood board challenge.  Here's the mood board and I hope you'll join in the fun.

And here's my take on the mood board.

HOW TO 

• Stamp the butterfly with Memento Inks in Tangelo, Dandelion, Grape Jelly and Pretty Posies
• Use the small detail stamp of outlined circles I stamped around the butterflies after masking them using Memento Inks Paris Dusk, Summer Sky, Zeal Teal and Danube Blue.
• Added a little texture with stencil paste and stencil around the edges.  Stamped the sentiment using a green ink from stash and die-cut, added 3D mounting foam and adhered to card panel
• Finished off with matching enamel dots on each butterfly. Add fun foam to the back adhere to a 4.425" 5.5" - 110lb card base.

Mix & Match + New Mood Board Challenge

Hi, everyone! Today I'm sharing a few masculine cards I created for the current SumMore Fun Mood Board Challenge. Also, I'm touching on mixing and matching those stamp sets. 

Here's the current mood board challenge. Remember you can use the whole board, the photos, or the colors. It's completely up to you but we do need to see how your project connects with the board.  

I worked with the Victorine Originals Text background stamp but decided to grab a few more stamps from SumMore Fun to pull some of the elements from the photos onto my cards. I grabbed the Victorine Originals Clock Minutes, Raison Boat Family Circle, and Raisin Boat True Love Stamp Sets.  I did some serious mix n match here but isn't that what we should be doing? Using our stamps in every way possible. 

The cards are easy enough to create. You need navy, light blue, and two shades of a tan ink. Start by stamping the text background in the lightest tan ink. I used Memento Ink in Desert Sand. Then follow that with the clock minutes stamp and light blue ink. I used Memento Ink Summer Sky. 

This is where the mix n match really came into play. I've had the RB Family Circle Set for a while and struggled with how to use it. I knew one card was going to be a Father's Day card and the other a Birthday card. It hit me then that the Family Circle had a perfect stamp with lots of "family" words and I knew that it would play well with the text background, too. The small words, special moments, stamped with Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and Nautical Blue,  worked perfectly to fill in a few empty spaces. The circle filled with words was a perfect anchor for my greeting(RB True Love Set) banner. 

Just add patterned paper to a 4.25" x 5.5" card base, using fun foam on the back of stamped panel, adhere to patterned paper, add greeting using 3D mounting foam and you are done. 

Use this same process changing the small word to "time" from the RB Family Circle Set and switch up your greeting to Happy Birthday from the RB True Love Set.

Hi and welcome, everyone! Today I'm over on the SumMore Fun Blog sharing two Get Well cards. I was sick for most of May and away from my craft room, too. So it feels awesome to be back and sharing. Of course, I would return with Get Well cards, I mean, it's not like I didn't have plenty of time to think about them. 

These cards are very easy and take minimal supplies. 

HOW-TO

• Using the Raisin Boat Chicken Wire stamp and gray ink stamp two backgrounds on 4.25" x 5.5" #80 cardstock; cut a section out  to create reveal for patterned paper
• Stamp red three red flowers on one background and three red hearts on the other 
• Stamp sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink in lower right corner of background panels
• Stamp Victorine Originals Heart Chicken and Flower Chicken using Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black and color the images (Copic colors I used W05, W03, W01, R29, YR68, YG25, Y17)
• Fussy cut or run through Scan N Cut to cut the chickens out
• Cut patterned paper (I'm using Doodlebug Down on the Farm) and adhere to a 4.25" x 5.5" card #110 card base
• Add 3D mounting foam to back of stamped background panels and adhere to card base over patterned paper making sure to reveal patterned paper
• Add two layers of 3D mounting foam to back of chickens and position on card

I think first I should share the new challenge mood board with you so you get a feel for where I was coming from with this card. Then we'll jump right into the how-to.

Mood Board #29

Let's make a card! This style is not my "norm" but some times you just have to do it. 

• Using 80 lb white cardstock stamp the streaks from the Raisin Boat Strokes of Pride stamp set alternating colors. I used Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Red Royal, Memento Ink Nautical Blue, Toffee Crunch, Olive Grove
• Stamp the eagles randomly on 80 lb white cardstock using same inks 
• Stamp the star using Memento Ink Nautical Blue and the "U.S.A." using Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Red Royal
• Cut stamped panels down to desired size 
• Using Raisin Boat Roasted Red Pepper cardstock to create a 4.25" x 5.5" top fold card base
• Use a piece of Kraft, Olive Green, and Navy Blue to mat stamped panels
• Layer onto cardbase - first layer adhere using permanent adhesive, second layer using 3D mounting foam, the third layer do half with permanent adhesive and half with 3D mounting foam so it sits level on other layers
• Stamp sentiment from same stamp set using VersaMark Ink onto black cardstock, add white embossing powder, and heat set. (anti-static powder and pre-heat gun always) 
• Adhere to card using 3D mounting foam

Happy Friday, everyone! Today I'm over on the SumMore Blog sharing a card with a great message, Remember. I'm pulling out my go-to words, quick and simple. Maybe I should make that my motto. 

I did make this in a hurry yesterday. I've been battling a serious cold for two weeks and yesterday was the first day back in the craft room. My husband joked, you haven't been on your laptop but a few times, you are sick! I should have said REMEMBER who cooks your food, buddy! LOL Anyway, I think I'm on the downside of this mess and so glad. 

Using the Strokes of Pride Stamp Set  stamp the "streak" using red ink on white cardstock. Stamp the star on heat resistant acetate using versamark ink and blue embossing powder. Tip: Always remember to use anti static powder when using embossing powder and pre-heat your heat gun. Heat set the powder. Stamp sentiment using gray ink on white cardstock, add 3D mounting foam to the back of sentiment and decided placement on card then adhere to acetate. Flip the acetate over and add another piece of 3D mounting foam to the backside of acetate hiding it behind the sentiment, adhere to stamped card panel. Add enamel dots randomly on acetate adding 3D mounting on the backside of the acetate, hiding it behind the enamel dots and adhere to stamped panel. Center on a 4.25" x 5.5" card base. 

Stamp the sentiment "this nation..." inside of card.

Hi and welcome, everyone. Today I'm over on the SumMore Fun Blog sharing a bright card full of daisies done with colored pencils. I will admit this was my first time using colored pencils and I'm in love. 

HOW - TO 

• start with Strathmore Toned Tan paper
• stamp the large daisy using white pigment ink, let dry
• using detail blending tool blend Distress Oxides - Twisted Citron and Forest Moss in the center of the flowers
• using colored pencils color the flowers yellow, blue, and pink
• die-cut colored image using a 4.125" x 5.25" rectangle die
• add white fun foam to the back and adhere to a 4.25" x 5.5" #110 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card base
• stamp sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink onto to #80 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, trim down
• add 3D mounting foam to the back of the sentiment and adhere to card
• finish off with sequins

Rooting For You + A New Mood Board Challenge

 Hi, and welcome, everyone! Today I'm sharing another fun card featuring the Raisin Boat Oops!A Daisy Stamp Set. And course, the gorgeous new mood board from SumMore Fun Blog.

I'm so inspired by the fresh flowers waiting to be potted from this mood board. In the large picture, on the left, you can see a few of the exposed roots and that's what pushed me to work with this sentiment. The sentiment "Rooting for you" inspired me as well. Roots spread and grow in all directions, leaving empty space here and there, allowing new growth. So, I mimicked that with the sentiment by randomly stamping on the card panel leaving lots of open space. 

This card is super easy to create. Just follow the steps below.

• Stamp the flower onto #80 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Paper using Memento Ink in the color Tuxedo Black
• Color with COPIC markers R81, R83, R85, G20, G24
• Fussy cut manually or with Scan N Cut machine (be sure to subscribe for a chance to win a Scan N Cut April 2nd)
• Using a stamp positioning tool randomly stamp the sentiment on a 4.125"x 5.25" #80 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock using Distress Oxide Ink in Bundled Sage 
• Adhere card panel to a 4.25: x 5.5" Kraft card base using fun foam or 3D mounting foam
• Add 3D mounting to the back of the flower and center on the card

Going Up, Up and Away!

Happy Friday, everyone and welcome! Today I'm taking over the SumMore Fun blog with this cutie from the Raisin Boat Spring Is In the Air Stamp Set. This is a great set for Spring and Easter, lots of possibilities with this one. 

This card was created using white cardstock, colored inks, COPIC markers and a few die-cuts from my stash. 

Die-cut Neenah cardstock using Reverse Confetti Striped Frame Cover Panel Die, die-cut clouds, any cloud die will work. Set clouds aside. Stamp sentiment from the Spring Is In the Air stamp set onto the die-cut frame. Using a stamp positioning tool position card base and the die-cut frame, close the lid with the card base and frame inside, using washi tape, tape the lid of the stamp positioning tool to mark where you will be stamping grass onto the card base.  Open lid, remove the die-cut frame and secure card base with magnets, position stamp on the lid in the taped area, ink stamp and stamp using Memento Inks in the colors Pear Tart, Cottage Ivy, and Bamboo Leaves and flowers using SSS Audrey Blue, Goldenlocks, and Hollyhocks inks.
 Add 3D mounting foam to the frame and clouds, position the frame over the stamped card base and adhere. Set clouds aside and adhere the frame to the 4.25" x 5.5" #110 Neenah Classic Crest cover stock. 

Stamp the bunny, the hot air balloon, and basket onto X-Press Blend It cardstock using Memento Ink Tuxedo Black. 

Color the balloon, bunny, and basket with COPIC BG's, Y's, RV's.  Using my Scan N Cut to cut the stamped and colored images, add 3D mounting foam to the back of images and position, along with clouds over the frame and card base. Add three enamel dots to finish off.

Spring Is In The Air

Hi and welcome, everyone! Today I'm taking over the SumMore Fun Blog. I'm so ready for Spring this year.  We are doing new flower beds, adding lots of trees, to our front yard this year. We are in dire need of a little thing called curb appeal. So I was thinking this would be a great time to break out the Spring stamps and keep with the current mood board's color palette, adding a little last minute inspiration for you. 

Creating this card is very simple. 

• You want to die-cut a piece #110 Neenah Cardstock or whatever white cardstock you have available to you using two circle dies, just a random pattern.
•  I used a stamping position tool and lay down a piece of cardstock to stamp on, then position the die-cut piece over the top of it to determine stamp positions. You will be doing a lot of back and forth with this but it goes fairly quick. Using different shades of dye ink stamp the images once you have them positioned. 
• Add 3D mounting foam to the back of the die-cut paper and adhere to stamped panel making sure your circles are correctly positioned to reveal stamped images. 
• Stamp sentiment onto a gray cardstock, stamp bunny on white cardstock and add a little color with COPIC W00 and W3, glue white pom for bunnies tail, 
• Adhere both sentiment and bunny with 3D mounting foam. 
• Finish off with enamel dots in shades of green and gold.

Curly Cute + Mood Board

Good Morning!

Happy Holidays + Holiday Hang Ups

Hi and welcome back. Today I'm taking over the SumMore Fun Blog with a Christmas  card featuring the Raisin Boat  Holiday Hang Ups Stamp Set. I love retro ornaments, so I had to have this set, so beautiful!  I used the Distress Oxide Inks to coordinate with the current Mood Board. 

I'm going to share a little secret with ya. You have to try this cardstock, it's amazing.
It comes in 15 different colors, #100, sturdy cardstock, loving it.

To create this look I used a stamp position tool, stamping the ornaments in Peacock Feathers, Candied Apple Red, Fossilized Amber and the branch with Peeled Paint. Using Gold ink stamp sparkles randomly. Added fun foam to the white cardstock panel and layered on Raisin Boat My Colors Cardstock - Roasted Red Pepper. Finished off with a few glitter enamel dots on stamped sparkles.
