Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

Happy Friday! Today I'm over on the SumMore Fun Blog sharing a card that's perfect for the Baseball fans in your life.

Using the colors from the current mood board I stamped the bat, glove, ball and music from the Victorine Originals Baseball Set using Red, Blue and Brown inks and cut out using Scan N Cut. Dry embossed Raisin Boat Bear Cub cardstock with star embossing folder and adhered to a 4.25 x 5.5" Raisin Boat Red Delicious cardstock base. Add 3D mounting foam to the cut out elements and arrange on front of card. Add white cardstock to inside of card and stamp with sentiment.

Way To Go!

Happy Friday! Today I'm over on the SumMore Fun Blog sharing four cards featuring the Victorine Originals Bicycles Set with Penny Farthing. 

Using the colors from the current mood board I did a little repeat stamping with the bicycles, add an embossed line below and above the stamped image using my mini scoreboard, and added a simple sentiment from my stash. 

Using the news print stamps with this set I stamped backgrounds in black and brown, stamped the Penny Farthing in Pink and Green ink, used the scan n cut to cut them out, and popped them up off the stamped backgrounds with 3D mounting foam. The die-cut sentiment is from my stash.

Mix & Match + New Mood Board Challenge

Hi, everyone! Today I'm sharing a few masculine cards I created for the current SumMore Fun Mood Board Challenge. Also, I'm touching on mixing and matching those stamp sets. 

Here's the current mood board challenge. Remember you can use the whole board, the photos, or the colors. It's completely up to you but we do need to see how your project connects with the board.  

I worked with the Victorine Originals Text background stamp but decided to grab a few more stamps from SumMore Fun to pull some of the elements from the photos onto my cards. I grabbed the Victorine Originals Clock Minutes, Raison Boat Family Circle, and Raisin Boat True Love Stamp Sets.  I did some serious mix n match here but isn't that what we should be doing? Using our stamps in every way possible. 

The cards are easy enough to create. You need navy, light blue, and two shades of a tan ink. Start by stamping the text background in the lightest tan ink. I used Memento Ink in Desert Sand. Then follow that with the clock minutes stamp and light blue ink. I used Memento Ink Summer Sky. 

This is where the mix n match really came into play. I've had the RB Family Circle Set for a while and struggled with how to use it. I knew one card was going to be a Father's Day card and the other a Birthday card. It hit me then that the Family Circle had a perfect stamp with lots of "family" words and I knew that it would play well with the text background, too. The small words, special moments, stamped with Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and Nautical Blue,  worked perfectly to fill in a few empty spaces. The circle filled with words was a perfect anchor for my greeting(RB True Love Set) banner. 

Just add patterned paper to a 4.25" x 5.5" card base, using fun foam on the back of stamped panel, adhere to patterned paper, add greeting using 3D mounting foam and you are done. 

Use this same process changing the small word to "time" from the RB Family Circle Set and switch up your greeting to Happy Birthday from the RB True Love Set.

Hi and welcome, everyone! Today I'm over on the SumMore Fun Blog sharing two Get Well cards. I was sick for most of May and away from my craft room, too. So it feels awesome to be back and sharing. Of course, I would return with Get Well cards, I mean, it's not like I didn't have plenty of time to think about them. 

These cards are very easy and take minimal supplies. 

HOW-TO

• Using the Raisin Boat Chicken Wire stamp and gray ink stamp two backgrounds on 4.25" x 5.5" #80 cardstock; cut a section out  to create reveal for patterned paper
• Stamp red three red flowers on one background and three red hearts on the other 
• Stamp sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink in lower right corner of background panels
• Stamp Victorine Originals Heart Chicken and Flower Chicken using Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black and color the images (Copic colors I used W05, W03, W01, R29, YR68, YG25, Y17)
• Fussy cut or run through Scan N Cut to cut the chickens out
• Cut patterned paper (I'm using Doodlebug Down on the Farm) and adhere to a 4.25" x 5.5" card #110 card base
• Add 3D mounting foam to back of stamped background panels and adhere to card base over patterned paper making sure to reveal patterned paper
• Add two layers of 3D mounting foam to back of chickens and position on card

Happy Mother's Day + New Mood Board

Happy Friday and welcome, everyone! Today I'm sharing a little inspiration for the new SumMore Fun Challenge. As always, the inspiration is a mood board. 

MOOD BOARD #27

and my inspiration for you.

 Using the Victorine Originals Floral Brush Stamp Set randomly stamp the flower in Distress Oxide Tattered Rose, stamp the stem in Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke, and the leaves in Distress Oxide Black Soot on #80 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. Stamp the sentiment on Elephant Safari cardstock using Versafine Black Onyx Ink  and Happy Mother's Day Sentiment.  Add 3D mounting foam to the back of neenah stamped cardstock and adhere to elephant safari cardstock, adhere to #110 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardbase, finish off with enamel dots.

Keep Smiling

Hi and welcome, everyone! Today I'm sharing a quick encouragement card featuring Victorine Originals Double Take Umbrella. This is one of my favorite umbrella stamps on the market. It comes with two stamps the outline and a solid stamp for upper portion of the umbrella. 

I love creating cards that are quick and easy, this card fills the bill. You could make several of the cards at once and use different sentiments. The stamp is great for under the weather and get well cards.

I've found a new love in my embossing folders lately. I can see me collecting a few more to expand my collection.

Happy Friday + New Mood Board Challenge

 Hi, and welcome, everyone! Today I'm sharing a few cards featuring the Victorine Originals Flower Pot with Birdhouse Red Rubber Stamp. And course, the gorgeous new mood board from SumMore Fun Blog.

First, I'm going to say this stamp is not one that I would normally gravitate towards. I realized while using that being outside of my comfort zone is when my creativity is at it's best. Weird, I know but hey, that's me. 

This card is super easy to create. Just follow the steps below.

FULL SUPPLY LIST BELOW

For the card above I colored the image with Prisma Pencils, stamped the sentiment background with Memento Ink Summer Sky, layered on to Doodlebug Kraft In Color 6x6  Paper.

Emboss the background, die-cut hello die 4 times to layer, add Steel Navy Embossing Powder and heat set, color image with COPICS, finish off with sequins.

Quick and simple, right?

Hi, and welcome back. Today I'm over on the SumMore Fun Blog with an All Occasion card featuring Victorine Originals Clock Minutes and Woman In Dress Stamps.

I love creating my own backgrounds using the current mood board colors.

To create this look I used a stamp position tool, stamping theClock Minutes randomly with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry, Antique Linen, and VersaMark Ink with Gold embossing powder, heat set om #110 cardstock. Using stamp position tool, stamp Woman In Dress image using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I used the Brother Scan N Cut to cut her out but you could easily fussy cut the image. Add 3D mounting foam to the back of Woman In Dress and adhere to stamped clocks. Mat with the same #110 cardstock, adhere to 4.25" x 5.5" card base. Die-cut banner and stamp Celebrate using Versafine Onyx Black ink. Finish off with sequins and pearls.

Celebrate In Style

Merry Christmas, everyone! Today I'm sharing my take on the new Mood Board over on the SumMore Fun Blog.   The whole idea of this card is celebrating the new with the clocks, champagne bubbles and of course, celebrating in style. Does everyone dress up for New Year's Eve Parties? 

 Here's the mood board, remember you can be inspired by the photos or the color palette. 

How To

• Stamp Clock Minutes image on Neenah #110 cardstock using Distress Ink in Antique Linen and Picked Raspberry and Black Soot
• Let dry completely ( I used my heat gun to speed things along)
• Once dry, I lightly go over stamped image with an anti-static bag, then stamp bubbles using Perfect Pearls Medium and add Gold Perfect Pearls, set aside to dry while cleaning up. 
• Lightly sweep off any remaining pearl powder with a brush and/or cloth.
• Stamp Celebrate In Style sentiment in center of clocks and on die-cut banner
• Layer on gold foil paper using fun foam, layer gold foil on black cardstock onto black and white striped paper adhered to 4.254" x 5.5" card base
• Finish off with gold enamel dots
