Anything Goes with Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #33

Happy Wednesday! You know what this means, right?
Yes, it's time for a new challenge over at
CRAFTY GALS CORNER CHALLENGE BLOG.
"ANYTHING GOES"

And we have two amazing sponsors this week!

Prize: $10 Gift Certificate

Prize: Spring Blessings Digital Stamp Set

So let's get right to it.

I created two cards using the Spring Blessing Set.
These images are so beautiful. The rose is colored with COPICS
and the Butterflies are water colored using Distress Inks.

I used distress inks, Peacock Feathers, Abandoned Coral and Mustard Seed, to water color the butterflies. The green is Peacock Feathers and Mustard Seed together.  The paper is from
SSS August Kit - Simple Stories "Summer Vibes" 6x6 paper. I also used the Gelly Roll Star Dust Glitter Pen around the sentiment. It too was included in the SSS August Kit.

I used R59, R29, R27, R24,E43, E42, E41, YG97, YG95 and YG93.
The background paper is from the SSS August Kit - Simple Stories "Summer Vibes"
6x6 papers. The black distressed paper be Jenni Bowlin from my stash.

Now it's your turn to show me what you've been working on!

And I had the pleasure of using this wonderful
sentiment by STAMPlorations.

I also discovered a new technique while making this card.
I have a transparency from Teresa Collins Freestyle Collection.

I had a 5x5 piece cut and had every intention of using on my card.
It wasn't working for me, so I grabbed my distress inks in Barn Red and Faded Jeans
swiped them directly across the transparency, flipped it over onto my card stock and pressed with my hand. I was so surprised to see the stars. They are raised just enough to
leave a pretty nice impression. I said, well, that's it! I did heat emboss the bigger stars and dabbed some Picket Fence distress paint around the edges. Fun, give it a try! Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Supplies:
white cardstock
Tim Holtz Distress Ink and Paint
White Embossing Powder
Star Stamps ~ any brand will work
Red Glitter Paper

I kept this very simple. Printed the Gratitude sentiment out, stamped the
