Hi and welcome! I'm super excited about today's post. I'm Guest Star Stamper for Color Throwdown Challenge #542!
Tip: color challenges are a great place to find inspiration. Often times I will look at color challenges when my crafty mojo is hiding.
I actually created two cards for this challenge, but I felt the first card was too dark. I wanted to stay as true to the color palette as possible, so I made this second card. I'll share the first card below.
- Stamp the image using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and colored with Faber Castell Pencils
- Stamp sentiment from the Simon Says Beautiful Day Stamp Set using VersaMark ink, add Steel Navy embossing powder and heat set
- Die-cut the image and emboss #80 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock with a wreath embossing folder (this embossing folder is old)
- Center embossed cardstock onto a 5.5" x 4.25" Imperial Blue card base
- Add mounting foam to the back of the die-cut image, adhere to the left side of the embossed wreath
- Finish the card with enamel dots
Here's the first card I created.
Be sure to check out the Color Throwdown Blog for more inspiration and be sure to join the challenge by linking up your card.
As always, thank you for stopping by.
Both of your cards are so beautiful! That stamp set is gorgeous and your coloring really is amazing.
