The time has come....

to start crafting again! I've been busy in my craft room the past two days making Halloween cards. I will be posting those in a bit. After losing my sweet baby girl the beginning of the year I just couldn't step back in my room. So I decided to move my craft room into a new room in the hopes of making new memories and letting some of the sadness go. It was the best thing I did. I've been busy making  cards the past two days and it feels right again. I do plan on joining in some challenges soon, very excited about that!

In my absence things have changed! I went out yesterday to 4 big box stores to find 2 of them don't carry Spellbinders anymore. All 4 of them have noticeably reduced their papercrafting sections! I also read that Two Peas in a Bucket closed! This is so very sad! Some of the challenge blogs I use to join are no longer up and running either. Suggestions are always welcome for your favorite challenge blogs and online stores. I'm off to finish laundry and then crafting.

  1. Hi Lisa :) We connected on Google+ just now, and I saw your post so I hopped over here! I was very sad to see your post and I have no idea what happened, but my condolences to you and your family with your baby girl. I don't know how old she was or any of the circumstances, but please know you have a new Follower and a new Supporter as you move on your journey to Healing.

I also see we're both Fans of Lawnscaping Challenges! Don't you just LOVE Lawn Fawn - EEEK! They're my FAVORITE! I also use the Paper Playful site quite often to check out the latest Challenges going on.

Yes, the crafting world has changed greatly out there; most of it is on-line now. That was very hard for me to see, especially because I worked at an Archiver's and had to see it shut down; it BROKE MY HEART! But, I've adapted to shopping on-line now, and actually really like it! It's a lot of fun to wait and then receive the goodies in the mail ;) It's like Christmas morning every time - lol!

Take care hun, and I'll see you on-line!!

  2. Hi Valerie. Thank you for leaving the sweet comment. I was in complete shock when I read about Archiver's. My first time in an Archiver's was Mall of America and I was in love. I have been looking at things online and making my wish list. Can't wait to see some Fall and Halloween releases! I'm a new follower!
